In a recent trip to Penang, Malaysia, I had to visit one of my favourite sites - the Bhuddist temple Kek Lok Si.
Normally, when I'm taking photographs, I'm on the lookout for people, landscapes or animals. Every so often, I look at something totally random and wonder if it would make a nice shot. On seeing the row of candles, I equipped a long-range lens and tried to see how much of a 'bokeh' (blurry background) effect I could get with them.
And I do love it when something otherwise totally unremarkable (yet still pretty) ends up creating an extremely artistic photo!
