Here's a panoramic view of Edinburgh which really brings a sense of calm and open space to any room. The view of the coast, even from about an hour's drive away, always fills me with a real sense of the grandeur of nature.
Most years, a group of friends and me end up at the top of Arthur's seat as part of a trip to see the fringe festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Not only is the landscape around Edinburgh breathtaking, but I love this view of where the edge of the city clips the North Sea. The citied region in the photo is Portobello (I think).
