Nothing like the famous cliffside village in Oia, Santorini, to transform a space and make it feel like a Mediterranean retreat.
If I ever returned to Santorini, I probably wouldn't pick the peak of summer to do the Fira-to-Oia trail.
Though should you ever find yourself in the island in the heat, make sure you bring a bottle or two of water. Still, the excursion all the way to Oia was absolutely worth it - it's such a beautiful town, and the view along the entire trip is something that has to be seen to be believed.
